Who doesn’t enjoy a flick now and then? The Palm Theatre in San Luis Obispo is a favorite of ours at the Lexington Inn SLO. And, don’t you love it that it’s walking distance from the hotel?
What makes this place special? What doesn’t! In the age of the ever present multi-plex with it’s cookie-cutter design and out of this world prices, the Palm is old school with great offerings and value. It’s a locals’ favorite.
The Palm Theatre, located at 817 Palm, San Luis Obispo, California, is an independently owned and operated movie theatre which showcases a variety of independent, foreign, arthouse, and mainstream cinema. The theatre is located in the heart of downtown San Luis Obispo, right across the street from the convenient Palm Street parking garage (first hour is free). Incidentally, the theatre and its operations are entirely solar powered!
With three screens showing hard to find movies, you’re sure to find something you’ll enjoy. Tickets are a deal at $7 and snacks and drinks are similarly reasonably priced. After the show head on down the street for lunch or dinner; try Thomas Hill Organics just around the corner or Palazzo Guiseppe down on Monterey Street.
